The spreadsheet is not the problem
A spreadsheet is honest: anyone can edit it, it needs no training, and it lives where the team already is. The problem starts when there are three copies, a WhatsApp thread, and nobody knows which one is current.
An order that works
- Map the real day, not the org chart.
- Pick one bottleneck: visits, stock, quotes, or cash.
- Put the people who suffer it into the first version.
- Only then connect the store, email, or ads.
If you reverse the order (pretty website, ads, and the same broken operation) growth only scales the mess.
What it feels like when a system exists
The office stops asking the field what happened over chat. The owner can open a panel and see statuses instead of rebuilding them on Sunday. That, more than a modern stack, is digitalization.
The curtain and restaurant cases in our public work started that way: flow first, tool second.
