Generic SaaS is not the enemy
If your team fits in a calendar, a small CRM, or a template store, use it. Charging to build a system you will not maintain is a bad deal for both sides.
The problem starts when the generic product forces you to lie about how you work.
Signs you outgrew it
- The important data lives in a "temporary" spreadsheet that is already a year old.
- There is a role (measurer, installer, branch, kitchen) the software does not understand.
- Price is not a number: it depends on measurements, recipes, installments, or a PDF.
- Every sale needs a WhatsApp message to confirm what the system does not know.
What to do then
Do not start with the platform. Start with the flow: first contact, field or warehouse work, payment, delivery. If that flow does not fit the SaaS, a custom system stops being a whim and becomes the cheaper option.
At Bazan that is the diagnosis: name the missing box, then decide whether to stretch the current tool or build the one that is missing.
